About Us
Efren A. Moreno, M.D. was born and raised in the suburbs of San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico, he attended the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico where he graduated in 1981. Dr. Moreno continued his studies in Wilmington, Delaware completing his residency in General Surgery in 1986. From Delaware, Dr. Moreno moved to Galveston, Texas for further surgical training. He completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1989 after which he move to Laredo, Texas and opened his practice.
Dr. Moreno completed a fellowship under the world renowned Plastic Surgeons of Baker & Gordon in Miami, Florida. He is also a specialist in hand surgery, a certified Wound Care Specialist, and a certified Skin Care Specialist. Dr. Moreno attends and completes several medical conferences and seminars each year to better his skills and stay up to date on the latest procedures and techniques. He believes in constantly continuing his education in order to offer his patients the best techniques available in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery as well as other aesthetic procedures.
